Hotels with a Dishwasher, Oven or Stove in the Room: Where to Find Them

•7 min read

“Kitchen” on a booking page can mean anything from a kettle to a four-ring hob with an oven and a dishwasher. We list 1,109 hotels and apartments with kitchens and record four appliances for each one, the stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher, from the property's own website and photos. Here is where each appliance is common, which chains have them, and where you are unlikely to find one.

The short version

  • Stove: nearly universal in stays with a kitchen (92% confirmed).
  • Dishwasher: 56% confirmed; close to standard in US extended-stay hotels.
  • Oven: the rarest, 49% confirmed; most likely in a full kitchen.
  • All four: 384 stays (35%) have a confirmed stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher.

Hotels with an in-room dishwasher

We confirmed a dishwasher in 617 stays. They cluster in North America: in Dallas / Fort Worth Area, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Philadelphia and Las Vegas, every stay we list has one. The table shows the cities (with at least 8 stays) where you are most likely to get one.

Hotels with an oven in the room

The oven is the appliance most often missing: we confirmed one in 541 stays. It is where full-kitchen suites differ most, because many have a cooktop and a microwave instead. These cities are the best bet.

In Paris, Dublin, Marseille, Da Nang and Boston we could not confirm an oven in a single stay. That doesn't mean none has one, but if you need to bake or roast there, ask the property before you book.

Some cities have the opposite pattern to the US: an oven in most stays but rarely a dishwasher. That is the case in Bansko, Bangkok and Cape Town.

Hotels with a stove

A stove or hob is the one appliance you can almost count on: 1,022 of our 1,109 stays have a confirmed one. In hotels it is often a two-burner cooktop rather than a full range. The stays without one are kitchenettes built around a microwave, which are fine for breakfast but not for cooking dinner. See full kitchen vs kitchenette for what each label usually includes.

Which hotel chains have them

Chains are more consistent than independent hotels, so the brand tells you a lot. Among US extended-stay brands, dishwashers are close to standard: 55 of our 60 Residence Inns and 42 of 42 Homewood Suites. Ovens are where they differ: we confirmed one in 16 of 24 TownePlace Suites but only 10 of 42 Homewood Suites. European aparthotel chains confirm ovens rarely (Citadines 3 of 20, Adagio 3 of 18); their kitchens are built around a hob and a microwave.

Counts are stays where the appliance is confirmed; a lower number can also mean the brand's pages don't say.

How to find them

Every city page on KitchenIncluded has stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher filters. A tick on a stay card means the property's own website or photos show the appliance; a question mark means we couldn't confirm it either way, so it may still be there. Before you book, check the photos for the hob size and whether the “oven” is a real oven or a combination microwave.

Frequently asked questions

Do any hotels have a dishwasher in the room?

Yes. We confirmed an in-room dishwasher in 617 of the 1,109 hotels and apartments we list. They are most common in US extended-stay hotels such as Residence Inn and Homewood Suites, and in apartment hotels in cities like Brussels, Paris and Prague.

Which hotels have an oven in the room?

An oven is the rarest of the four big appliances: we confirmed one in 541 stays (49%). Stays with a full kitchen are far more likely to have one than kitchenettes, and many extended-stay suites have a cooktop and a microwave instead. Use the oven filter on any city page to see only the stays where we confirmed one.

Do hotel rooms with a kitchen have a stove?

Almost always. 92% of the stays we list have a confirmed stove or hob, often a two-burner cooktop. The exceptions are kitchenettes with only a microwave, so check the stove icon on the card if you plan to cook.

Can I search only for hotels with a dishwasher or an oven?

Yes. Every city page on KitchenIncluded has stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher filters, and each stay card shows a tick for appliances the property's own website or photos show, and a question mark where we could not confirm either way.
